A member-run drop-in center for people in recovery from mental illness. We offer the experience of community, and the opportunity to gain friends.

Changing The World. One Mind At A Time.

The 1920 Club is a member-run drop-in center that is planned, developed, and governed by an incorporated board of directors and members according to their expressed desires and needs.

It is a non-clinical program.  Conventional mental health treatment services are not provided at the drop-in center. Members are recovering from psychiatric disabilities. Members voluntarily choose to participate in the drop-in center activities. The day to day activities are determined by the center’s active participants, with input from the program director.

The 1920 Club provides a safe, supportive and encouraging environment that helps promote personal growth and enhance self-esteem.

Financial Support is provided by the Alabama Department of Mental Health and from generous community donations.
